Privacy policy
This policy explains what Mechanism Diligence collects when you use mechanismdiligence.com, and why.
What we collect
Reading the site does not require an account. If you use Suggestions or send feedback, we store what you submit:
- A display name and comment or reply text.
- Feedback category, message, and any optional source link you provide.
- A random client token stored in your browser so the same browser can be recognized for rate limits and your own comments. It is not your name.
- The owner email address, only if you sign in as the site owner. A sign-in link is sent to that address.
Cloudflare hosts the site and may process standard connection data such as IP address and browser type to deliver pages and block abuse. Cloudflare Turnstile runs a security check before comments, feedback, and owner sign-in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal information.
Where it is stored
Submitted comments and feedback are stored in Supabase. Your browser may keep the client token, display name, and owner session in local storage. We do not use that data to build advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
Comments and feedback stay until the owner removes them or they are no longer needed to operate the site. You can clear the client token and display name by clearing this site’s local storage in your browser.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Comments you post are visible on the site. Service providers that host the site or store submissions process data only to run those services.
Your choices
You can use the site without posting. You can edit or delete your own comments from the same browser. The owner can remove comments. To ask about data tied to a submission, use the suggestions section on the homepage and include enough detail for us to find it.
