Adaptations by Mechanism Diligence: smoothed external pelvic and chest anatomy,
softened shoulder and jaw contours, repositioned arms into a relaxed standing pose with palms inward and thumbs forward,
forearm rotation axis aligned to the source surface with a continuous blend and no separate wrist offset,
converted to indexed binary geometry, recomputed normals, and adapted display scale,
translucency and lighting. No clothing or drape is rendered. The fallback is a still
of this adapted model. Facial definition comes from the source surface and lighting.

This is a neutral illustrative model adapted from a male-derived source. It does not
represent all human anatomies and is not patient-specific or a clinical simulation.
No endorsement by the creators, HRA or NLM is implied.

All organ vertex positions are retained in HRA body coordinates; no manual organ scaling or repositioning.
Adaptations: surface selection, indexed binary conversion, recomputed normals and muted display materials.
The external surface is more translucent (opacity 0.38); organs use opaque depth-tested surfaces.
These selected reference surfaces do not provide a complete anatomy atlas or patient-specific anatomy.
Arm pose: slight elbow flexion and reduced finger splay, informed only by the user's pose reference.
The reference image's body shape, sex traits, style, colors and internal organs were not copied.

Expanded internal reference surfaces (September 27, 2026): brain, small and large intestines (including rectum and appendix), left and right kidneys, left and right ureters and renal collecting structures, urinary bladder, pancreas, spleen, spinal cord, trachea and selected prostate surfaces. Existing lungs, heart and liver retained.
Creators: Kristen Browne and Heidi Schlehlein, as specified per organ in ORGAN-SOURCES.json. All source files are CC BY 4.0. The Allen brain and SBU large-intestine references are HRA-aligned to the male body; this is a composite reference, not one person's complete anatomy. Original organ coordinates preserved, except brain overview surface simplified by 3 mm vertex clustering using centroids. Materials recolored. Internal occlusion is preserved; rotate to inspect posterior structures. Static fallback regenerated from this model.
Not modeled: stomach, esophagus, gallbladder, full vasculature, muscles, skeleton and many smaller structures. Drug/pathway teaching overlays remain schematic. Do not use for anatomical measurement or clinical planning.

Current display refinement: the Allen brain reference is no longer displayed. A small original gently lobulated schematic brain replaces it. The head shell is smoothed toward an ellipsoid to remove facial detail. An original swept schematic stomach is added in an approximate upper-abdominal location. Both teaching shapes lack measured anatomical geometry. Intestine meshes are displayed 15% narrower horizontally about their original centers at 82% opacity. This overrides the earlier unchanged-coordinate statement for the intestinal display, not the source geometry. See SCHEMATIC-ANATOMY.json.

Version 31: Restored source facial silhouette with light smoothing. Brain now uses selected licensed HRA/Allen outer cerebral surfaces from both hemispheres, clustered at 3 mm and resized/repositioned within the head. Cerebellum, orbital and deep structures omitted. Original schematic brain sphere superseded. Arm pose revised coherently at shoulders/forearms/elbows to clear thighs. Illustrative adaptations are not measured anatomy.
